Bad cgi

It was very distracting, felt fake most of the time. Director said the technique was already used in Lord of the rings. Never felt bad moments like here watching Lotr. No idea when it was used by the way, it was invisible.
Here it's a pain, full size Jean Dujardin is like a shrunk man, inserted in the picture.

Director wanted a famous man (like in the original movie). Why not take a small actor?

Méliès tricks were much better.
