Her cousin. Her aunt who lives with them, it's her daughter. She is awful in the book.

I liked what the father did after Vera dumped the pictures on Audrinas bed. She deserved worse!!! And yes, Vera's a real *bleep*.

I'm not sure how I feel about the changes in here from the book.

I like how the book makes her whiny and needy. She has brittle bones so she is often breaking them and helpless.
Of course in the book at the start the girls are about 9. She is very mean in the book so they got that right.

Yes, and she is very important to the story. Especially at the end. I can't believe they cut her. Maybe it would be hard to portray a disabled child.

I think it was probably just too hard to get the story "told" in the amount of time and they had to cut out a lot.

I don't like her either! I mean, the first time she kept picking on her and calling her "idiot" or "stupid," I kept saying to the screen as if I were Audrina, "Vera, why are you here?"

Audrina believes Vera is her cousin, the illegitimate daughter of her Aunt Ellsbeth, but Vera is also Damian's daughter. Vera knows and she hates Audrina because their father dotes on Audrina and barely tolerates Vera. And I mean she really hates her; Vera orchestrated Audrina's gang rape.
