Is Officer Glimmer an alien or human?

He mentions two divorces, huge gambling debts, and "that's why I'm working with you guys". Is he a human collaborator or just an alien who wasn't given the luxuries of wealth, youth, and good looks that Jonathan was given?

I was confused by this too. Up until those comments I thought he was just an on-the-ground alien like Jonathan. But they haven't ever shown his eyes flash over to alien eyes so I think he's a human recruit.

reply

Actually his eyes did flash over at one point. I am going to watch it again and I'll put the episode and time up here.

Glint Publishing was Jonathan Walsh's company. Officer Glimmer? Glint, glimmer like the sun's reflection on a UFO, wry humor. I assumed alien until he mentioned the divorces. Part alien?

reply

He could be talking about alien wives and alien debt, maybe?

reply

I think that was a gag as the reason he was eating fast food and was poor.
I don't think there wore any human collaborators, I mean they had androids for menial tasks.

reply

Huh, I'll take a contrary vote. I think he's a human, 'working with you guys', just as he says. This show reminds me of 'Brain Dead', and similarly, you need certain people in certain places to help out. I think that's just what this is: they're using a human police man in Beacon. <shrug>

Surprised that nobody mentioned the cop being the guy that does the voice for Archer and Bob's Burgers. I've never seen him anything before(non-voice) and it was so strange to hear that voice coming out of that guy.

reply

I don't expect much depth to the character. After all, in everything else he plays such a two-dimensional guy!
