Intrigued

I was assigned to watch this film for a class I am taking at my university, and I can honestly say that I was less than thrilled when reading a synopsis about what this movie was about. I am not typically the type of person that is drawn to Science Fiction films or any genre that does not include a romantic comedy to be honest.

While watching this film I was pleasantly surprised at the storyline and how enticed it made me. The film tells the story of two researches at a technology company. One character creates a biological form of virtual reality called, go figure,  OtherLife. This virtual reality allows for the creation of realistic memories. The film goes through many different trials and errors of using this new invention, including accidentally getting trapped in a cell, and using the new invention as a form of imprisonment. 

OtherLife Is not necessarily something that I will choose to watch again, but it made me branch out and think about all of the movie genre's out there that I do not typically watch and enjoy. If anything this assignment made me realize how much I am missing out on by sticking to such a small genre of films that interest me. For a Sci-Fi film, I found this movie very interesting and it had me on the edge of my seat throughout the duration of it.
