Does Amazon even try and appeal to anyone other than...

Women? This show and Transparent both have zero appeal to anyone other than women. They're not the only one who subscribe so stop catering only to them or people like me will drop Prime.

Seriously? Hand of God? The Man in the High Castle? These are not female-oriented at all. How many Amazon shows have you watched? And what's wrong with appealing to women?
By the way, I know some men who actually like Transparent, not sure why it would only appeal to women.

Amazon's first original show was BOSCH, based on Michael Connelly's series of novels about L.A.P.D. homicide detective Harry Bosch. Then there's also THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, SNEAKY PETE, HAND OF GOD, MAD DOGS, as well as many other pilots that *didn't* get picked up, including an extremely violent western called EDGE; and CASANOVA, about the famous Venetian rogue, lover, and spy.

Amazon is doing a ton of content. If the only thing you're picking up on is GOOD GIRLS REVOLT and TRANSPARENT, you have only yourself to blame.

Only Bosch is ok. They went out of their way to make him look stupid. That tube amp... UGH. AS IF vinyl isn't pressed from a DIGITAL recording already. No one uses reel to reel to record.

All those other shows SUCK. The only good show on amazon is Goliath. That's it. That's all real men get. TMITHC is really stupid. Tired of the Nazi crap. Why not focus on Stalin? OH cause the libs worship communist.
Hand of God is TURRRRRRRRRRRIBLE. Just an awful premise, with the wrong star. You mentioned two shows that didn't get picked up... YEAH, that's cause they were good.
Mad Dogs? That was on in the UK way before it was on Amazon.
Amazon likes to claim they make a lot of shows they just rent the rights to.

They did a pilot for the Tick. I'm pretty sure 90% of the viewers for that show are going to be guys.

I really liked this show. I thought it was going to be more like Mad Men, but it wasn't at all thankfully. I would think this show would be liked by both male & female. I loved the Nora Ephron part and the music was awesome too. Love the oldies. Looking forward to the season beginning.

I think it needs to be said: more than 50% of the world population are women and we women have a right to see things we might like. If you weren't an ass, or at the very least had a woman in your life, be it a wife, girlfriend, mother or sister you would realize you have to compromise and watch things you might not choose to put on, but you might actually end up liking. Only a man-child thinks he's going to get a his period if he watches a "girl show." Second of all, I haven't seen Transparent, but it's a drama and I don't think it's geared towards women more than men, if it is, then there is nothing in any of the ads to show me the show is geared towards women. Also, as others have said, most of Amazon's shows aren't geared towards women and even if every show was geared towards women, so what? A good show is a good show and if you can't watch it because it's geared towards women the problem is obviously yours not the problem of the show or Amazon.

How shallow do you have to be to think a show like this or Transparent appeals only to women? Do you live in a such a little sexist bubble that you are unable to appreciate anything but guns and blood and 'splosions? How boring that must be!
