I never watched it, and now I really don't want to!

I doubt he did, either. I don't know how old his character is supposed to be, but I was born in 1971 and never watched it. The actor was born mid-70s. They just chose it as his go-to kid's show because it's weird and acid-trippy.

TV has plenty of reruns/syndication. I was born in the 80s, but I grew up watching things like "I Love Lucy" and "The Andy Griffith Show". How old a person is doesn't necessarily influence the TV they watch.

It was great watching as a kid, but I doubt it holds up very well watching as an adult.
