Why are people complaining about historical inaccuracies?

Seriously, it's fiction. It's not supposed to be accurate. If you were expecting any of it to ever have happened, that's on you.

Thank you JoostinOnline! The first person I have seen that actually understands a drama series. If you want a factual historical drama then watch a documentary. This is for entertainment only. While many of these kinds of dramas will have some historical value, don't count on 100% accuracy. It has been said many times that productions such as these will often alter the some of the history as well as add more into the story such as romance.

The basic premise is there and yes men were pigs back then. Get over yourself about the accents. Have you ever gone to another country and you find your normal accent changing? Plus again it is not a documentary or a show that pretends to be a historical period drama.

You might enjoy it more if you stop focusing on things that you deem wrong. It's a drama, try to enjoy it for it's worth. I quite enjoyed it and can't wait for the next season.

Critics are good when it is reasonable but it becomes absurd when people do it for fun or jealousy.

If it started with "Based on a true story" or something, I'd totally understand the criticism.
