I blinked and they're gone, what the hell?

I missed how the black guy and Jena Sims died. It's like I blinked and then GONE. How and what part did they die?

Jena Sims' character (Dr. Thomas) was taken by the shark about 35 minutes in, after she tried to provide a distraction. Maggie wanted to provide the distraction, but Dr. Thomas beat her to it.

The shark got the black guy (Rico Ball as Omar) about 4 minutes earlier.

The black guy died because one dumbass decided to try and swim for it and he went in after her to get her back, they both ended up getting munched

I guess that makes him a dumbass too for going in after her
