Going with the fact that they filmed Time, Death, Love and hired an editor to edit them out the way on subway where Death is front of Will Smith yet later is edited out perfectly in that time frame seems unlikely.

Are you suggesting that they were only visible to Howard and, thus, not to be seen on the video in the first place? That would make absolutely no sense. That way the p.i. would have told Howard's colleagues that there was nothing to edit out and Howard was truly talking to thin air. Meaning his colleagues would have known right then and there that the three are supernatural, way before the end of the movie. So yea, I call plot hole as well!
