Not Scary Enough - Not X-Men Enough

This is the films ultimate flaw.

The idea was interesting but they didn't sell it successfully and they signposted what was happening far too much. By the time you got to the end, it felt more silly than scary.

But I applaud the effort to do something different with this genre. They lacked the nerve to fully commit though.
