Failures of this movie and why ratings are so low

Illyana is mutant Magik, has quite comprehensive powers. She can teleport but can not escape the shields? They should have taken more time to explain that and Illyana's powers, otherwise it feels like just cheap CGI.

As a killer Illyana should have challenged Dr. Reyes before and failed. So when Dani said they need to kill Dr. Reyes to get out, there should be some level of despair among them, because their powers are useless against Dr. Reyes and Dani's power is not fully understood yet.

I feel these are the main reasons why the ratings of this movie are so low.

I can't think of any positive things about this movie.

I think the actors did OK, the problem was with the script and the directer.

They wanted to really make it a lesbian movie.

I think it is going in that direction, then again they don't want to make it too apparent.

That's why most tv shows and movies suck these days. SMH
