What does it mean when BOM lacks details about a film? Do the producers withhold it? Is it judged a failure and no one bothers to get or enter the data?
Just wondering because I really liked this film and I was wondering how well it did - best guess, not that well. But some films never get a wide release and perhaps some films are never intended or expected to.
In the best of all possible worlds it will surface as an under-appreciated cult favourite in years to come and I can smugly point out - told you so.
More likely it will be forgotten as an unclassifiable oddity that few bothered to see.

The budget is in imdb, about $15 millions. It was a complete flop.

And he wasn't doing that well before, constantly on the edge. 'Colossal' ended him. And besides that, he was fired from a mainstream media because he made a politically incorrect joke in twitter. Right now, he's vanished.

And it's a pity, because he was getting better. His horror short in VHS Viral was the best one in the movie by far. And Colossal is a little underrated jewel. It's his best movie, and I think it's the movie where he finally finds his style. And probably his last movie, unless some miracle happens.

Hiding production budget is a common thing. The domestic grosses, however, are all there.
I saw it mostly because 'Cronocrimenes' wasn't bad. It turned out to be a colossal disappointment (

So, just to update myself as I happen to be watching this film again. Apparently this made $4.5 million (BOM) against a budget of $15 million (Wikipedia). Which is a pity. Also no signs of it emerging as a cult classic. Which is also a pity. But I still like it.
