This is like the most genre-mixing movie of all time..

I just watched this movie and it's a hodge-podge of different genres in one. Incredible. Reminds me of a song by Fort Minor... let's sing together!

This is ten percent sci, twenty percent fi
Fifteen percent korean monster by the bye
Five percent action, fifty percent drama
And a hundred percent rom-com, cuz remember it's a chick-flick at heart

Hmm, still prefer Beat the Devil.

I thought that was a good thing...it's so unique and unexpected, even down to the ending...for that reason it's worth seeing.

It was. It's just I wasn't ready for this so many things in one lol. Sci-fi rom-com/chick flick I can handle just fine (Passengers, Eternal Sunshine)

But this one? I was flabbergasted the entire time, I couldn't really get into the movie itself. It kept throwing me out and made me wondering what's with this movie, man.

It's like shampoo and conditioner is one thing, but shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, glass cleaner, mouthwash, and windshield wiper fluid in one bottle is another thing.

100% romcom? I didn't really see much of the romcom genre, but yeah it was pretty varied overall.

It's just play of the original lyrics of the song.

For a movie, this probably is a rather good mix of genres but if we're including TV shows, it's gotta be Game of Thrones. GoT is action, drama, adventure, war, fantasy, crime-drama, suspense, sci-fi, thriller and to top it off, it's got a little romance and horror thrown into the mix as well.

And surprisingly, all of this worked really well in GoT.

Colossal is a pretty fun movie though, I liked it... but I would say it's more fantasy/comedy than anything else.
