That was my first reaction too but after watching the first episode the show itself isn't my cuppa tea. Shame as i was looking forward to seeing her in something new.

I tried to watch this had to stop after less than ten minutes, the soap opera type over acting and background music just grated too much, unless you like poor quality tacky soap operas I suggest you give this a miss.

The premise for this show is pretty strong, has some possibilities and it's nice and different. And then those ppl start acting. OMG this sucks! And you know they can do better, I know you can only act as well as the material you're working with but...
Not only is this show horribly written, the dialog is flat and unimaginative but the acting is really third rate. And the nephew so to speak is sooooo bad. What's with the pauses all the time? And his text? This is soo unrealistic!?! Now I'm not American, but I don't think this is how people interact anywhere. Indeed it's as you say, soap opera acting. What a shame.
I was that way too, I adore Kelli, but I have to agree with the other posters in this thread, not even Kelli can get me to tune in to this again. It was so bad. I hope Kelli can get on a new show (can't see this one lasting long) that really challenge those acting skills of hers. Something with substance.

This may come off as odd but to me The camera and lighting seems bleak for a show with a lot of scenes being shot in a home. The music is really quiet, in fact I did not even notice it. Next episode take a look at the camera angels she is way to short to be filmed in this manner. A female lead should be filmed to look at least of average height, but if it can be done, the taller the better. Especially if her counter actor is slim or slim and tall.
