I agree. I saw the movie at an early screening last night. The audience laughed at some of it, but I've seen so many comedians that are superior to him. Average at best, I don't get his appeal. That voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
shareThe thing he has is a new style of comedy that the young generation, like myself, find funny; this isn't to say I don't find older comedians funny i'm just saying he's the first I can think of that relates perfectly with our generation, with things like twitter, insta & random other stuff that older audiences won't fully understand.
But it's not factual saying 'he's not funny' it's just opinion.
I'm not exactly 80 years old and understood every reference he made. I'm pretty sure most people understood that the op is saying they don't think he's funny. But you guys can argue semantics all you want.

Chris Rock is funny and more intelligent.
He acts like he is so "mega" but he does not have the chops to back it up...
This ain't no Delirious or Raw that's for sure.
