Inconsistencies

I do enjoy these Garage Sale Mysteries but I found it odd as they don't explain where the son is. He wasn't in this one at all. In one scene the wife is explaining to her business partner that her husband wants to take her and the kids (plural) out for their anniversary. Then at the dinner table there's again just the mother, daughter and husband and he says "I want to take you and your mother out for our anniversary" no mention of the son. I know it's a small detail but it's sloppy writing.

There was two times during the show where she said she was calling him at "computer camp". Must be the kid had an offer from a better show....

But don't get me started on sloppy writing and continuity.... like....the husband being a different guy in different shows. Or the daughter being a different person and I think having a different name. And the police detective who was young enough to date the daughter in college.... that they spend the time in the first one to show how he thinks the mom is goofy but by the end is listening to her. Then in the next show he's gone along with the daughter, but the new detective is best buds with the mom and does whatever she wants with no questions asked.... and in the next one after this the son is a different person... maybe if they tried a different lead each time you wouldn't know it is supposed to be the same show....

brendan myer played the son in the first few movies then he is totally missing..now they have a new person playing the son....this young man looks younger and has much lighter hair....

look at brendans IMDB he is acting writing and directing...probably had time restraints and they needed to replace with someone else....they could have found someone a little more physically matching....
