CBS... Are you kidding?!

So, someone at CBS thought it would be a good idea for programming to add a show that finds families in hard financial times and in need, give them 1001K and then feel guilty for wanting to keep it and better themselves.
Wait- then the 'powers that be' thought that was a worthy idea and we now have, "The Briefcase."
WTG, CBS... you have been successful in launching an un-compelling and fairly depressing series to watch.

This is the most disgusting, despicable thing I've heard of in a long time, even for TV. I got on here to post a message to that effect, and will probably write CBS and tell them that. Absolutely unbelievable.

I'm waiting for someone to figure out it's a Game Theory problem and point out that there's only a 25% chance they'll lose the money since there are only 4 possible outcomes.

Not really. This isn't exactly the "prisoner's dilemma." If you give away the money, there is a 50% chance of getting it back. If you keep it, there is a 50% of having it all. Under those rules, you always keep it all.

Thanks SmallTown! I was wanting to do just that.

On behalf of CBS, may I just say THANK YOU!

Doing your part to stir up ineffective internet rage is so appreciated. Thanks your efforts, we are enjoying unprecedented free publicity for a show that would otherwise be ignored for what it is: summer filler.

The fact you are misinterpreting and misrepresenting it is even more appreciated as we know that even as your personal credibility is harmed, our reputation - and more importantly, our ability to sell ad time, is enhanced.

You're welcome.

Now how about a CSI : Los Angeles & maybe a Big Bang Theory spinoff? (I'm thinking Howard & Bernadette move to Florida to work at NASA)
