First. What a stupid idea for a show.

So evidently someone saw that stupid movie about the button that gives you a million dollars but kills someone and decided to modify it and make a show of it.

Take the money. End of show.

It is going to be a fake hallmarky reality show. In reality majority would take all the money. But since it is on tv they want to make it Hallmark like and everyone is pure. They will either give it all up or take way less.

I hope it gets cancelled quick.

Right you are, Legend, and as formulaic and sappy as a Hallmark show it was.

The bit about the vet with the missing leg turned my stomach.

If CBS didn't pay off that guy's debt off camera, they are more evil than I already think.

It's worse than a TV reporter shooting a stand-up at an accident or disaster when someone on camera is clearly in need of first aid. In this case, they are doing all this for RATINGS, which means PROFIT. At least the reporter can claim that the story had to be told. Most reporters finish their shoot and then try to assist the wounded.

Why make the debt-ridden family choose between their financial well-being and that of a wounded vet?

CBS is lower than dirt.

Love is like breathing. You have to take some in and let it out to live.

You're not making sense. The vet received $101,000. Why should CBS pay off his debt on top of that?

And there are few (probably zero) examples of reporting a doing a live hit over a victim that needs first aid.

You claim it's for ratings, but apparently you don't even know this is a dead period in which ratings aren't happening. The ratings period closed on May 20th.

But, it is not reality. There are cameras in their faces for 72 hours. They are forced to tour the other family's home, with all the sad items out for display. You don't think the guy really keeps his purple heart on the dining-room table, do you? And the working ice-cream trucks were out delivering ice cream or otherwise off the lot. Only the broken-down ones were shown to the other couple.
