Tonight's ep: so, how fake did THAT look? (Spoilers)

First, the panda plotline was ridiculous. If they were going the animal route, I would think a gorilla or other primate might make more sense... but I guess it would be more likely to be dangerously strong and a threat, so that was a no go.

I thought the panda looked pretty fake, but then I looked up some photos of actual pandas again, and it didn't seem as bad. Still not great, an animal with a lot of white fur makes the fakeness stand out that much more. Pandas themselves almost look like they aren't real animals, like they're comical stuffed animals out of someone's imagination. I think the fake panda on the show could have used a bit of varying discolouration of the white fur (a lot of panda have some light beige/tan shading. I don't know if that's dirt at all, it doesn't always seem to be the case).

6/10, not the worst fake animal, definitely not the best.

What's your take on Fake Panda?

reply

it looked hilariously cheap and fake.

Well, I thought it was a nice little twist on them not performing surgery on a human. I thought it was comical too.

I was waiting for Fake Panda to wake up, rip out all the tubes, and go Kung fu crazy on everyone! ;)

Well, on an episode of Emergency, they performed surgery on a baby goat.

Giant Pandas are black and white. The lighter tan/shading is usually dirt since they sit and lay a lot on the ground.

I thought it was ridiculous too.
