If they do choose to release it on DVD, I hope they release it along with seasons 4 & 5 of the original Muppet Show! I have been waiting for YEARS for them, along with many other fans! (I know it's not that simple, just had to get that out.)

I wouldn't bet your money on it.
The last Muppets entry, Muppets Tonight (1996) never got a DVD release and 1998 was still before streaming/downloading really took off [if memory serves] so there would have been a market for it.
Now, most likely, people would just get them digitally instead of buying a DVD set, plus the fact after another failed entry with The Muppets, ABC might decide there is no market for the Muppets anymore so why bother spending the money on a set.
Brian Henson suggested they might release Muppets Tonight on DVD after The Muppet Show was finished but those stalled in 2008 after Season Three so I can't imagine the latest Muppets is on the fast track for a release.
With that said, I wouldn't mind one, & Muppets Tonight for that matter.
