Um...ABSOLUTELY!
It seems like the biggest problem with the show was its constant struggle to change its format in midstream. I loved every minute of it but audiences in general expected to see the Muppets from the 70s and 80s.
I felt like it had finally established what it aspired to be by the end of the season. Looking back, so many shows struggled in their first season and went on to become the most iconic beloved series ever.
I am upset because with its Disney ownership I think the Muppets will literally sit on a shelf now only to be utilized for commercial ads, guest appearances, and the occasional online videos. Disney isn't much for failure of any sort. The Muppets movie was well-received and profitable. Muppets Most Wanted was less than profitable which means no more movies.
With another letdown by the TV show, Disney won't gamble.
Very very sad...
I'd love to see Amazon or any other avenue pick the show up again!
