Doesn't look like many, if any, of the actors (aside from Bruce) even have careers in the movie business. So when you're out of work and trying to establish yourself in the movie business, of course you'll jump at the chance to be in this movie, especially when it has a decent budget and you get to work with Bruce.
As for Bruce, he's proven time and time again that a dud movie which not many people even see will not derail his career. In fact, he has 5 new movies in production right now! It's pretty wild how much acting he has consistently done for the past 30 years
