Daddy is a dope.

He may know a lot about wilderness survival, but really short on common sense.

He stores a metal drum on the ground, the bottom rusts out (big surprise), and 45/55 gallons of gas leak out (and nobody smells a thing?) So he gets more gas and a new drum. Do you think he builds a cradle to keep the thing off the ground? Probably not.

He leaves his truck sitting in a remote area for weeks/months at a time in cold weather WITH THE BATTERY ATTACHED, and then is surprised when it doesn't start.

Did the father grow up in a hot climate? Heck I'm a city-boy and I know not to leave a metal barrel on the freaking snow covered ground.

The dead truck battery, born and raised in Minnesota, the first thing I thought was that's not going to start.

But what irritated me the most about the show? That gosh-darned buffalo farmer's bull bison just happened to end up near the boys, in all the vast expanse of Alaska, the bull ended up heading right to the boys! Well that and they don't seem to know how to operate snowmobiles worth a darn -- that should be a cardinal sin in Alaska!

Scary thing is, that grandfather guy said something about the boys are going to go out for a lot longer next year. Oh my goodness, another season. Oh my, how fun, I can wait.
