So, what did y'all think about this new Almost Christmas movie?

When the dad goes to the garage to get the ornaments and decorations after they set up the tree, not one other person goes to help him. They ask and he declines, but there are so many able bodies just standing there. How is he supposed to haul all that stuff inside? He's old! Look at him, he's too old! I have to think that a few kids would have lent a hand to help.

We could have done without that awkward scene of Rachel just storming off before going to put the dress on (in record time with perfect face and hair) and then coming back out to the limo. Epps was standing there, stewing about, getting mad, clearly pissed, all because she couldn't say "Wait here, I'll be right back" ...... ??!! So we are made to believe that he really thinks she was going inside and not coming out?

She could have given him a clue. A smile? A word? ANYTHING!
It was a lame movie trick and many of us are experienced by now with movies that shouldn't have to be spoon fed junk like that...

....and speaking of junk, why not have him STILL sell the house? We all saw this coming a mile away that you knew darn well the house wouldn't be sold. Looking at the papers on a park bench, sappy music... Come on, give us an "against the grain" hollywood ending already. Stop making so many movies predictable!
They could have realized that yes, it was the last one to be in that house and then still celebrated that fact. Then sell the house because as he exclaimed earlier, "It's HIS house!".
