You have so much talent. why waste it on this *beep* up movie? get your head out of your ass and pick better movies to act in.

I disagree with the OP I am not sure Gabrielle Union is a serious actress she is a pretty face and nothing more. Union has been acting for a LONG TIME YET has NEVER shown any range in her roles. She always plays the uptight and successful pretty black woman. She is attractive but beauty only lasts so long.

wow, I can say I share your sentiments re: Union (no shade toward her at all). You said it best. :-)

She doesn't seem to have much range to me either.

So much talent?

I have to respectfully disagree. Gabby plays d*mn near the same character in every movie.

She just played a financially strapped version of Mary Jane in this one. Its pathetic and you can tell that her and her agent have gotten terribly complacent with what roles she takes on. Hell, she even did a bang up job playing a slave in "The Birth Of A Nation".

Nothing to see here as usual. She's made a ton of money I reckon so thats probably a good enough reason "for her" not to really care about the craft as much. Ontop of becoming the little SIDE-CHICK that could and snagging an NBA star.

I don't see the problem in an actor or actress doing a fun holiday comedy here and there. Sure she's had her share of bigger projects but part of whats made her famous are the comedies shes been in such as Deliver Us From Eva, Bring It On and Two Can Play at that game.

It was a nice little throwback seeing her and Omar Epps working together again too.

I am very disappointed in her as well. Not just because of her *beep* film choices, but she just wasn't the right fit to play Rachel. They should have cast a much warmer actress, someone like Brandy Norwood could have soften Rachel and made her more likable.

I don't think the character was suppose to be likable in the beginning so another actress wouldn't have changed that.
