Curious about the location

I also was wondering where these homes were being built. Also, how can people just pick up and move from where they are now living to their new homes? Do they give up their jobs, etc. Do they all live in different states? And, how much are the taxes on those homes? I read some of the other posts and also remembered about the show Extreme Home Makeover. A lot of people couldn't afford to pay the taxes on the improved homes and had to sell. I live on Long Island, one of the highest property taxed area in the country. So, what good is a home improvement if you can't afford the taxes that go with it.

I've read several articles that said they filmed both seasons in Atlanta.
