The home really isn't free at all and most of these couples will end up trying to sell these homes once they realize they won't be able to afford the upkeep/bills that come with a big house.
shareThe upkeep and bills are going to be what will get most of the to sell the house. FOX nor the production companies will pay for the taxes on the house. They will need to get a mortgage just to pay it off.
shareThe other home show that was on for several years(can't remember the name) remodeled a house for a family where I live and it ended being the worst thing that could have happened to this family. Ended up losing the house due to huge bills and like you say, taxes. Sad situation.

These home giveaways are never for the "less fortunate" only the rich who could already buy what they want
