I was so compelled to watch it that I attempted to purchase access from the Canadian network. I was soundly rebuffed by their website, on account of being an American hooligan. After knocking over some dustbins in a fit of ire, I very reluctantly ended up having to sully my integrity by pirating season one in order to acquire HD versions.
Note to the staff who produce this kickass show (and I know you track your fans via social media and will eventually see this!): I have money and I wish to give it to you. Circumstances, not an inclination toward theft of intellectual property, have thus far thwarted my attempts to pay you. Please do whatever you can to get your creation into one of the many US venues that will permit me to appreciate your efforts properly. Preferably Amazon, but I won't quibble.
Real entertainment is hard to find. TAKE MY MONEY!

shareThat's a good thought, and I had it, too. I have a TOR exit node in Toronto. In this case, however, my problem wasn't trying to get around geographical DRM; the problem was that I didn't have a credit card with a Canadian address to bill the subscription to, and since the address has to match the card... If a VPN had solved my problem, I wouldn't have had a funny story to tell!
