The most intense movie I've seen in a long time

Just wow! What an intense movie. I saw the movie yesterday and I was completely immersed in it. I was overwhelmed by the emotions that were conveyed just through subtle expressions and glances.
In the beginning during the discussion between Louis and Catherine there was this moment when both were just looking at each other. It was so well done that I had goose bumps. I thought that maybe Catherine already was suspicious of something then.

In the end I think everyone knew what was going on or at least that they wouldn‘t see him again.

That is cinema how I love it. Hats of to the cast and the director. What an ensemble. I loved Vincent Cassel's character despite or because of all the anger. It wasn't a stupid character at all but highly complex. And Louis...his face was telling how hard it must have been for him. His mind wandering of several times. His sister now all grown up and a stranger to Louis. Beautifully portrayed by Lea Seydoux. Marion Cotillard and Natalie Baye were great as well.

I almost couldn't believe it, when I read how young Xavier Dolan was. Hopefully we can see many great films directed by him.

Highly recommended!
