I hope to see Gohan rise again....

Just like when he fight Cell.
I don't want Goku and Vegeta always become the only hero.

I doubt it the only way I see him getting involved is if the villian kills pan or videl

We all do, and I bet he will.

Sometime I hope Piccolo become more stronger too, maybe he discover there are more secrets power hidden in Namekian species, as well as other Goku's old friends, I hope they found a way to become more stronger. They should focus more on other characters, it's so boring always have to see Goku and Vegeta was the only person who can fight enemies.

I actually hope Piccolo defeated Vegeta. :P

When?

Ultimately, I'd really REALLY love to see some way in which the humans could discover some before-unknown primal power in themselves which enabled them to grow at the same rate or at least much closer to Saiyan or even Namekian-level than they currently are.

You know, anything so we get something a bit different than the usual Goku-&-Vegeta Show we've been having for ages now.

He was supposed to be the strongest character after Goku. I guess fans preferred Goku and the writers had to make Goku up to who he is today. I agree though. Gohan needs to come back on top as the best fighter before Vegeta, after Goku.

What about if we find out that Gohan actually going training secretly with Piccolo after Golden Frieza been defeated, and maybe he also keep training after the Beerus and Champa tournament, and even Chi Chi didn't know about his training? Maybe he is already ready to face another great enemy. Maybe he will give us some surprise? ^^

It is weird how he was this innately powerful character, even without all the rigorous training all the time, that had every villain shaking in their boots. They all feared the power that he had, this unexplainable 1 in a billion power. Raditz, Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Buu, all feared and envied his power, wanting to stop him or kill him before he could grow up and get even more powerful, then all of a sudden he just stopped, and went to raise a family. I get it, he's a family man now, and he has responsibilities, and there's no way he's missing out on Pan doing anything unless he absolutely has to, but that power doesn't just go away, as proven by the many times it seems to come when he needs it most. I believe that if he was Super Saiyan Blue, he would be the strongest Blue, but at this point why would he? Being Super Saiyan Blue isn't going to take care of his family, put food on the table, pay the bills, or let him love any harder, so what would be the point?
Vegeta, Goku, and even Trunks now, live in a world that is sporadic and chaotic, they pop in and out, Trunks for necessity, Vegeta and Goku because they can, but Gohan lives here on a permanent basis. I always wondered is Disney World as Glamorous to the people that clean up after all its visitors 365 days a year?

Gohan just does not have the desire to fight, he never really did. He was pressured as a child to fight and protect his friends.

The two-parter may be the beginning. Next episode seems to imply a parallel to Gohan's intro arc: a father going after his kidnapped child. Only he's the father now (hopefully it will have a happier resolution).
