Anyone else agree that they're promoting him way more than the others ? is it a good sign ? is he finally going to get the screen time he deserved ?? !
shareHe dies in his first fight, causing Krillin and #18 to basically go berserk. It'll be revealed in the next episodes that Krillin and #17 have formed a rather close brotherly bond. Like, real brotherly. He jokes around with Krillin, hangs out with him from time to time (apparently they love to go out on fishing trips), takes good care of Marron, etc...
It's a shame we'll only get a glimpse of it before he bites it, because from what I've heard, the way we get to know #17 now will throw an entirely different light on his character.
For instance, he too keeps the Android number moniker like his sister, not because he's programmed to (it'll be shown in a flashback that Bulma revealed their past and their names to them, gained from Dr. Gero's files) but because he (and #18) feel that when they became Androids, their lives started changing for the better, even if it was bad at first. The park he's a ranger of is actually part of the town that he and #18 used to terrorise when they were still human teens.
