Men may not like this movie

I see already in the reviews that men are scorning and scoffing at this film "for wimmens" (Sorry for the dig to that reviewer, but the spelling in one click away on Google no matter what language you speak.) I see a movie about tentative, flawed and self-blaming women in an unpredictable world, somehow unable to get a handle on things. Sorry this isn't as trendy and shocking as something like "Bully" --- which probably didn't "bore" you for a minute thanks to the bloody murder and precociously sexual teens, but this movie is far closer to what most real kids and real parents are like.

Just because you would have lived life differently, made different choices etc. ---- and just because you would have made a different movie, doesn't make this a bad movie.

I was once a 12 year old girl with divided parents; crazy about horses and riding; both drawn to and scared of the wilder side."and scr, and I knew exactly what Vartu was feeling, especially with the other girls prying into her life and embarrassing her. Girls that age are nosy, relentless, and often downright mean. Vartu girl was an introverted person with powerful growing pains, needs and feelings. Her immature mother hijacked center stage with her drama and self-pity, but that's what Vartu got for her mother, and she does her best to live with it --- anyway the mother never denies ehr love and concern, as limited as she is.
