Taxi scene

What about the plan to escape with the taxi and that man that kept on coming to visit Sofia? Why didn't they show us what happened? Are we supposed to assume it didn't work or she didn't have time to go through with it because Ulises "rescued" her beforehand?

Loved the film by the way!

I came here to find out the same thing...I'm guessing the scene they showed of Sofia running away was what it would look like if she would have been able to, but she never got the chance...I also wanted to find out if anyone else thought Ulises was now forever changed after brutalizing Marta and had now become just like his brother and father? What a cruel existence for these young women and I believe the irony is that now Sofia will need to be rescued from her rescuer...I guess I was hoping for a Quentin Tarrantino revenge twist where Ulises kills his father and runs away with Sofia but she is doomed as long as she is in that environment...

I was wondering about the taxi getaway too, I guess Ulises and dad got there first...what a nightmare for a father in law btw.

Either Sofia was hallucinating the man who came to save her---he did not exist at all; or Ulises happened to show up right before the plan came to fruition.

I was confused at first but if you look at what's she's wearing this is the same day Ulises turns up to "rescue her". the man describes what she's gonna do get in taxi etc she imagines it, she says goodbye to her friend, but then Ulises turns up
