Who thought it was a good idea to let his parents join in?

Their acting was terrible, his dad was cringey (the scene where he plays on his Ipad in Ep. 2), his mom's like a robot. Huge turn off!

He thought it was a good idea. End of story.

That topic title... Uummmmm... Strange visual place.

"Oh, dear. Mr. Dictionary seems to have deserted us again."

reply

Who is more qualified to play his parents than his actual parents?

Also, they are hilarious. Especially the dad.

reply

They still have to adhere to some script and at that point they have to act, not just be themselves.

reply

So they have to "act" like themselves?

Probably not too difficult. Not a huge fan of the mom, but I think the dad is hilarious.

reply

I think it was a great idea to have them on the show! Are they perfect actors? No. But theyre hilarious! And ridiculously adorable. Also, they all did it to spend more time with each other and that is the sweetest thing ever. The show is perfect

dad was the funniest thing in the show.

reply

I agree. He was adorable and made me laugh often!

Since it's Aziz's show, it was his idea to put his parents in the show. I didn't know they were his actual parents when I saw the episode (which I thought was really funny and sweet,BTW.) His father was actually the funnier of the two, and definitely more comfortable in front of the camera. If his mother works on her lines a little more, she'll be all right. Liked the episode anyway.

reply

...Are you kidding? His father was hilarious, and his mother was fine. It was a great decision.

reply

Maybe Fisher Stevens wasn't available.

reply

Well played.

"Marge...Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?"

reply

I would say his dad is actually a natural actor given he has no experience. His mom is the opposite: she's so wooden.
