First 2 episodes... + Emmy?

I watched the first 2 episodes mostly because the Emmy's suggested it was a good show.

I didn't care for those 2 episodes (they were petty bad), did the show pick up in other episodes or am I just missing something?

It does get more serialized as it goes on. So if you're into that type of storytelling you may like it more.

May I ask why you didn't like the second ep?

It's personally my favorite ep of the entire season and most people I know who like the show love that episode.

I understand I'm responding to an older post, but still...

Here is my answer to the question. I like Aziz Ansari so I watched the first episode. I thought it was unwatchable. I didn't understand how it got made into a series. I dropped the whole thing. Later, I broke my foot and was looking for things to watch on Netflix. I went back to the series and started in episode 2. I think episode 2 is fantastic. It's its own little documentary. The rest of the series is very good also. I know why people like it. The problems they are facing are so relatable and the characters are very likeable. My advice to anyone is skip that first episode and just watch the rest. You will not be disappointed.

I agree.
While I liked Ep.2, people have seen 60 min of the show and both episodes don't represent the tone of the rest.. Even as a streaming show (releases all eps at once) that's a risk!
I'm glad the critics made me continue after that first episode!
