Very powerful

I just watched this at Sundance. It is an incredibly powerful and personal film telling his and his family's story. I (and most others sitting around me) began crying in the first 5 minutes and it continued throughout the entire film. Met the director afterwards and thanked him. I am from New Orleans so he appreciated hearing what Gleason means to our city and spirit.

I saw Gleason today and couldn't agree more with what you said. I cried about 5 different times throughout the film. It really captures every range of emotion that Steve and his family go through from day one of his diagnosis. When he says "No White Flags" my god he means it. It's a film that will stick with me for awhile but can only see one time and I'm glad I did

Just saw this today and it IS the definition of powerful.

It really is life affirming when you look at it in a certain way but your heart absolutely goes out to the Gleason family because as was stated, when your surviving this hell it doesn't feel inspiring.
