Just so sad

I watched the trailer with tears in my eyes, but, what I found hardest was him talking about prayers and religion. If he prayed to god then god was not listening and this fine family man will be there for his son on an emotional level for the meantime, but, what god would give someone, anyone, especially so young, such a horrible disease. His son's memories of him won't be playing ball or throwing a football, running around and swinging him in his arms, but, of his Dad incapacitated apart from his mind, in a motorised wheelchair. If there is a god, of course there isn't, then he is one cruel son of a bitch.

I am a four eyed evil genius.

I didn't see the trailer but I did watch the entire movie and don't recall him talking about prayer and religion except for a few scenes (such as the scene with the faith healer) where it became pretty clear that he concluded god wasn't going to bail him out. His father, on the other hand, repeatedly brought up the subject (saying stuff like "Don't worry - your soul will be saved.") but Steve just ignored it.
