Hauntingly Real

So I'm sure everyone has seen more than one Ice Bucket challenges floating around the internet. Thoughts:

1. I wonder how many of these people realize what they are doing and what they are raising money for when they are throwing ice over their heads.

2. I've seen the movie about Stephen Hawking. This documentary takes you in the real everyday life.

3. This disease is one of the most horrendous there can be. It literally paralyzes EVERYTHING. You can feel but can't move anything but your eyes. Your body can't even breathe as it progresses.

4. This opened my eyes to the people who are actually going through this and what a hell it is.

5. God Bless you Steve and your beautiful wife Michel and son Rivers. You truly are amazing as is your family.

I think the film is almost as much about the wife as it is about him, which I didn't expect going in.

Great film, feel like it didn't get the marketing push it deserved. Just saw it for the 2nd time. Best film of the year in my opinion. Nothing else moved me and made me think like this film.

Thanks to the Gleasons for making this movie.

Thanks to the Gleasons for making this film. I knew almost nothing for this disease. We live in a rich society, we should be doing more for our sick and disadvantaged people. I imagine that Gleason is quite rich, but what happens to people who are not that rich?
