Thoughts on dealing with Brian.

The more I think about it, the Fast franchise needs to kill Brian. They should have done it the last movie. Narratively speaking, having the character simply disappear sucks. By having Brian step away from the dangerous lifestyle, but still die, introduces the element that you can't avoid death and you never know when your ticket is up, so there's no point running from it. This can embolden your heroes within a story do get up to almost anything, to rally them in a productive way. It also allows for the reintegration of the sister character and the complications of her finding a new man to be a father to Brian's kids and all Dom's feelings about that. I would open the next film with Brian's funeral and tackle that shit head on.
