It is amazing that they have the money and tech to bring Brian back

Thank god Paul Walker had 2 younger brothers. Things just work out sometimes.

Brian's retired and Paul Walker's dead. Move on people!

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

It's more about making the franchise the best it can be.

It's more about capitalizing on a man's death. Paul Walker got his sendoff in the last film. His story is over. To bring him back would be greedy, tasteless, and would render the last movie's epilogue pointless. Vin Diesel (whose allegedly idea this is) needs to have a little more respect for his deceased co-star and let him rest in peace, and quit dragging his corpse alongside him whenever and however he can.

+1. Pretty much all there is to it.

But in the movies Brian is basically Dom's brother in law. Forget about real life foo.

Forget about real life foo.

The previous movie didn't "forget about real life" with the tribute and retiring of the character, so I don't think I should have to, either. At this point, Brian being "basically Dom's brother-in-law" doesn't matter. It doesn't. Because Paul Walker died and the last movie tastefully acknowledged that. There's certain lines you don't cross when it comes to the circumstances of someone's death, in this case, Vin Diesel just wants to exploit his co-star's death in the name of greed. And it's pretty obvious. They went through all the trouble of retiring the character for an understandable reason and closing his story, and because it played a part in its financial success (and it would've made money anyway had Paul lived, but let's face it, his death did contribute to it), now they want to pull a 180 and bring him back for no reason other than to capitalize on that. Paul's death is a lot more important than Brian being Dom's brother-in-law. It's not about "making the franchise the best it can be", it's about greed and nothing more. It's interesting how you seem to be ignoring that, or you're just failing to wrap your mind around it. We can't "forget about real life". We're not talking about an injury or something trivial. We're talking about a person's death, which there's no coming back from. And you think it's alright for them to just forget about what happened to him-- and even worse, try to use it to their advantage, so I'm not quite sure what's the matter with you. Let's think about the concept of having a little respect for the deceased, which overrules the idea of bringing back a character who was retired due to said fact, all in the name of capitalizing on his death, before calling someone a "foo".

I've been seeing countless headlines saying the character would return, but according to some of them at least it was said the character would only make a cameo, which is quite understandable.

Reeeeally doubt he would return and be in the movie in more than 1 minute, or else I'm certain that this wouldn've been leaked before the movie's production ended.

Brian's dead and it's time for someone to carry the weight for vin diesel. Character is good but they have let it get sloppy with money success so prove me wrong for once
