No interest in watching this story about a spoiled little rich boy whose dad is out there working his ass off trying to get elected governor and this woe-is-me little twerp is out there drugging himself up because, like, life is so hard, man.
The line in the trailer by Common says it all, when the little spoiled twerp goes "It's like jail in here." and Common goes "Not even close."
That idiot would be gangraped in jail. Yea, the whole rich kid"poor me" genre of movies is getting annoying.
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.
It's a true story except in real life the dad is a famous movie director/actor not a politician the kid cleans up writes a screen play and his father films another award winning classic.

I thought this movie was crap but you have zero understanding of family dynamics and human developmental needs if you think superficial readings of behavior based on societal norms explains anything.
shareHe's dad was probably never there to teach his son anything or form a good relationship with him, he seems distant and always wants someone else to deal with his sons drug problem. But yeah the movie really isn't written well.
