Looks Terrible and Weird.

Saw this trailer today while watching "Finding Dory", and I was like "wha?" I didn't find it funny at all minus the parts with those penguins and that whole "Shh!" thing.

Also not too sold on the concept of storks not delivering babies anymore...

It's a fun movie! I'd recommend going to see it. I don't recall the trailer before going to see it, so I don't know how it compares to the actual movie, but I enjoyed the movie and thought it was really cute!

reply

Thank you, but I'll pass. I don't think I'm missing much by skipping it.

I've had the trailer inflicted on me every time I took my kids to the movies for the past 2 months.

It looks awful, tacky and dumb. Even worse than "The Wild Life" and that's saying something.

reply

Worst part of that Wild Life trailer was with that pudgy (armadillo?) saying she's got "those curves..." my God...and that got good reviews in another country called "Robinson Crusoe?" (That's what it was called there?) Daniel Defoe would be spinning in his grave.

Yeah, this does look dumb...movies, especially kids' movies, really do seem to be getting worse nowadays, with the exceptions of ones like Finding Dory and the Jungle Book remake (I thought it was cool).

reply

To be fair to The Wild Life, the US version probably dubbed it with those jokes. I'm sure in its native tongue it's a better flick.

Want three steaks?... My mistake. Four steaks. 

I'd have to see it for myself, same thing could probably be said with Doogal/The Magic Roundabout.

reply

Doogal was worth it for Jon Stewart.

WEIRD coincidence, but I just found out last week that I'm pregnant and I've been infertile for almost 40 years (my life). Plus, the ad for this movie kept on popping up the day after on my Kindle when I'd turn it on, AND.... the premiere date for the movie is on MY birthday! Nevermind what the film content is about...

I always wanted a "cosmic" baby, but this takes the cake!

reply

Er.....congratulations! I think...

reply

I loved it, as did all six of my kids (aged 6-18).
