I was part of the crew... Give them credit!

Hi all, I worked on this film, I was the hair and makeup designer, designing all looks.
I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, everyone has the right to their opinion, but contructive criticism is good to hear, no need for nasty comments.

Chris Bell, Steven the director and all cast and crew work solidily for 4 weeks. As I was on set everyday I saw the effort and work the team put into the production. Ok, there are a few wobbly bits here and there and not all performances are to Brad Pitts standard... But remembering there wasn't a Brad Pitt budget I think the team did well.

They are a good bunch of people, great to work with and I'm proud of my work on this film and proud of them. The budget was tight, some of the actors have full time jobs, yet still managed to turn up to film scenes..they deserve credit and applause for their hard work.

I'm sure most people on here who have commented aren't necessarily in the film industry, they don't make films, but I'm sure you all have your own passions in life. Were you the best at your passion when you began, or 2 or 3 years in? No.. Give the team credit, they're doing what they love, each film they do they learn a little more, as we do in life with everything.

I had a great time on set and would happily work with them again.

As being part of the crew and giving you an honest opinion...

I enjoyed watching the film, I enjoyed working on it... There's parts that could be better, but there's parts that blew me away at how good it was.. The story was there, it was never meant to be about 'the Essex boys' true story.. That's boring, it's been done how many times?! Chris Bell impressed me with his emotion scenes, Megan and Abbie did great....

Remember.. Everyone learns a little more each day... The next film will be better than the last, the one after that will be better than that..

Give the team credit... And at the end of the day, if it was as bad as. Some say on here... It wouldn't of made distribution!

Sounds like you can't take deserved criticism. And plenty of abysmal films get distributed so the fact yours was is nothing to be proud of.

These films are an embarrassment and everyone involved should be embarrassed to be associated with it.

I'm just a makeup artist and I no longer work with them

Hi, and well done for being involved. :)
But... the film IS awful. I accept that it is low budget, but all the more reason for careful planning.
e.g. early scene of two gangs facing off and police attending.
The wide shot indicates how many of the extras are doing nothing threatening, poor fight choreography.. guys with bats stood next to their 'enemy' without doing anything?

BTW did love your makeup on the guy with the head wound, though failed to see it happen..

Hi, the director was in charge of all that and the filming I just did makeup and sent them onto set, I wouldn't know the first thing about angles and so on.

Thank you, it's that long ago now I can't remember all the makeup fully that I and my team did but I remember being happy with it at the time else I wouldn't of sent them onto set. I'm a perfectionist And a well established makeup artist ? I didn't work on their latest film, but I do have future films coming up with other production companies hope you like my makeup if you see them ?

so many fat bald men in this movie. They all look stupid too. I mean intellectually stupid. How many times is the word *beep* used in this movie as well, almost every sentence in the dialogue contains the word... and yes did I mention all the fat bald men in this film too?. I didn't really enjoy the movie as the acting was ropey at best and the fat bald men don't really look tough, they just look fat and stupid.
