Tried Google but no luck. There are plenty of sites that talk about the town location and even the location that the medical clinic used but I can't find anything on the seaside location where she swims out.
shareI wanted to know that, too! It didn't look like the England I've seen in the other approx. one zillions shows I've watched. And the water was so still...it didn't look like the ocean but maybe an inlet or intercoastal channel? With the very flat land and the trailers, it looked for all the world like the Texas Gulf Coast! I half expected to see palm trees!
I hope someone will answer this question eventually.
I can't positively identify it, but it looks like somewhere on the East Coast, probably north of Harwich, maybe around Orford or Aldebugh. Google Street View might reward a diligent searcher. That would be a reasonable drive from the Hitchin area, but the actual filming location could be even further north, on the North Norfolk coast, though Aldeburgh would be closer if they were based on Hitchin.
