The Returned (2 Series. The U.S. did their own adaptation to this. But I highly recommend the original, especially since the U.S. version was canceled.)

Denmark
The Killing (3 Series. The U.S. did their own adaptation to this. Both versions are unique and great.)

Sweden
The Bridge (3 Series. There is this version, the UK version, and the U.S. version. All 3 are great.)

btw, i'll start off by saying this is not a 1 season series, Doctor Fosters is getting a 2nd series and most of these are not 1 series, Fingersmith & Secrets & Lies were only ones from my list which had just 1 series

The Fall was alright but i don't remember it too well, only vaguely some scenes & what it's about

Sherlock - hated & boring, seen S01

River - hated & boring, seen 1st few eps

The Tunnel - boring pilot

if anyone has any recommendations based on my likes & dislikes, let me know what you'd recommend

THE POLITICIAN'S WIFE (1995) with Juliet Stevenson has quite a few similarities to DR. FOSTER.

It's really good. And Minnie Driver has one of those "before-they-were-famous" supporting roles in it.
