Do I have to be russian to watch this movie?

I'm not Russian but I would say that minimally one would need to know a little bit about international politics and have a rudimentary understanding of Russian culture to appreciate this movie.

It is not parody, it is not homage but it is trying to appeal to an audience that appears to have an appetite for this type of fare but little creative history or even acceptance of the Superhero syndrome.
