The worst Nordic Noir shown by the BBC

I am a big fan of Nordic Noir and always watch the offerings on BBC4. From episode 1 of The Killing I've been hooked and along with other such great series as The Bridge my enthusiasm for the genre has no abated. But I have to say I thought Modus has let the side down. The acting was largely fine (apart from some of the American accents) and cinematography was as always very good. But what let this down was the story and giving away too soon what was going on.

Sadly it felt more like one of the UK and US series that drove in the first place to seek out something different and that different was Nordic Noir. I sincerely hope this is not the start of a slippery slope to the standards now offered in the UK and US.

Yeah, it's my least favourite of those I've watched - including all episodes of The Bridge, The Killing, Beck, Wallander.
