For all of Rodman's faults, he has a big heart. I don't see his actions as defiant, just naivè and a huge misfortune with his darn drinking.
But what these guys did is admirable... and I found myself in awe of the professionalism of the guys and thank god for Charles Smith.
I remember watching that interview with Chris Cuomo on CNN back then and cringed. It was nice to see it from the other side.
All I've seen is condemnation on this board so far and ism a little surprised. We really forget our own addiction to imprisoning our own citizens when we place all the focus on Kenneth Bae.
Imagine if the international community decided WE were a despicable nation of cruelty... because like it or not, we are far from the country who has absolute moral authority.
I can see one thing from this. The media DECIDED they were a problem. If our media had just taken a neutral view and covered this event, I think it would have gone very well.
