Josh Radnor...

...is a terrible actor.

The man has done things beyond HIMYM. I forget the name of the play but he got some pretty good reviews for his performance on Broadway last year.

I HATED HIMYM with a passion but I think he's a good actor

reply

Haha - agreed. He's so proud of his facial hair though - read what he says in interviews.
Oooo Josh - you're so manly.

He's doing a great job here. HIMYM was such a silly show. Now that he has a real role we can see his talent.

Some actors are gifted enough to convincingly play another time and place with believability. Radnor isn't one of them. He's certainly not the only actor in this series with that problem, but he was the worst example of it today. He's terrible in this role.

I have to agree with you. He does not suit the role of a Civil war doctor. When he first appeared on the screen, all I could think was, who is this Jewish guy, and why does he sound so modern? He's a miscast. A lot of the dialogue just sounds so out of place. I was bored most of the time. There are just too many cliches in this. I doubt I will watch unless it gets better.

I didn't like Josh on How I Meet Your Mother or the show itself, but I thought he was pretty good in this. It took a couple of scenes before I realized who he was. The show on the whole? I'm uncertain about.

reply

I thought he was fine. I liked HIMYM (until the last episode), but he was my least favorite part of it. It was distracting to see someone I knew so well from another role in something so different, but I thought he did an okay job. He wouldn't have been believable as a Southerner.

I thought he was good in Not Another Teen Movie. :D

I didn't have a problem with him in the first episode. I was relieved that he didn't try to do a fake Southern accent.
