The Samuel /Aurelia Storyline

A complete loss. The writers simply dropped the ball and moved on. At the very least there could have been a letter exchanged to warn Aurelia about her "husband". Perhaps Samuel's suspicions could have turned out to be right, but I suppose we will never know now.

Was the actress playing Aurelia not able to return for season 2?
That's the only reason I can think of for them to have dropped her storyline...
